DJ Heroine

Bit of a dry spell on the gig front, but at a recent house party a friend introduced me to DJ hero. I’d seen people with Rock Band and Guitar Hero and never really felt the fascination but this was a bit different, for a starters it was right up my alley, and second it seemed not so much a game you’d associate with group play at a party but everyone was getting really into it.

And I’m Broke…

So I’ve done it, spent all the money that I have saved up all year to go on a rampage of music for the next couple of months. I will be hitting up a few festivals in England (the one I am most stoked about is The End of the Road Festival in September), heading off to Ibiza to check out some amazing DJ’s and clubs over there. And finally finishing off in October I am going somewhere that I have never been before, to Belfast to go to the Open House Festival (featuring more laid back acts like Wilco, The old Crow Medicine Show, and Iron and Wine).

And at the end of it I will be not only broke, but happy. Who needs money anyway? Fingers crossed my decks don’t break…

So stay tuned to hear my stories of travel and festivals, news and reviews of some really great bands. And if we are all lucky I can introduce you to some amazing artists along the way as well.
